Yes, <span style=\"color: #404740;\"><a style=\"color: #404740;\" href=\"https:\/\/verdeprofilo.com\/en\/the-nine-principles-of-biophilic-design\/\">Biophilic Design is truly fascinating and rich in benefits<\/a><\/span>, so much so that I took notes to make sure I don&#8217;t forget anything! We can divide the benefits into five main categories: <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>physical health, <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>psychological health, <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>social benefits, <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>economic and environmental benefits.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Alessandra Parolini: Let&#8217;s start with the benefits for physical health.<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Bettina Bolton:<\/strong> <em>Of course. <span style=\"color: #404740;\"><a style=\"color: #404740;\" href=\"https:\/\/verdeprofilo.com\/en\/la-biofilia-una-risorsa-per-la-nostra-felicita-copy-copy\/\">Biophilic environments<\/a><\/span> have a strong positive impact on the cardiovascular system, the autonomic nervous system, and the immune system. For example, it has been shown that they can reduce heart rate and blood pressure, regulate circadian rhythm, and improve immune system activity.<\/em><\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Alessandra Parolini: And what about psychological health?<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Bettina Bolton:<\/strong> <em>The benefits are significant here as well. Environments with natural elements positively influence our emotions and cognition. For example, a green wall in a degraded area in Australia led to a decrease in criminal activities.
